She says of her work:
I’m interested in architecture. I find it fascinating that people build beautiful and interesting structures to fill a need for people and their lives. When showing my work I have found that people feel a connection with the place first and then see the etching. Of course I am flattered by this, but I want people to see more of what I’m seeing. Instead of saying, "I've been there" I want people to say, "Look at that technique or composition". Therefore, in the past few years I have been creating images that exist, but are more unidentifiable. I am feeling a pull towards my subjects and have been thinking about focusing in on the details rather than the whole picture in hopes of having people see my work in a new way.
