Associate Professor, University of Miami
Lise Drost was born in Cheverly Maryland and grew up in Miami. She attended Miami Dade Community College and Florida International University, earning a BFA in printmaking, and then attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville earning an MFA in printmaking in 1983. She then held artist in residence positions in Pennsylvania, Oregon and Wyoming before moving back to Miami. She is presently an Associate Professor at the University of Miami in the department of Art and Art History; she was department chair from 2006 to 2014. Her work combines lithography, silkscreen, relief printing and collage as well as digital printing.
